Frontispiece. Illustrated. 4to. Dawes bookplate. With various ALSs laid in from Malcolm Davidson and George Jeness about the provenance of the book. The volume was presented to Dr. Dawes by Davidson in 1989. Boards rubbed and spine cracked and stained, paper toned. See Toole Stott 222. A note preceding the text states, ?The price of this book is four shillings sixpence. If you cannot raise six shillings honestly, do not buy the book." A variant on better paper was issued in which the prefatory note states that the price is six shillings.
