The volume was presented to Dr. Dawes by Davidson in 1989. Boards rubbed and spine cracked and stained, paper toned. See Toole Stott 222. A note preceding the text states, ?The price of this book is four shillings sixpence. If you cannot raise six shillings honestly, do not buy the book." A variant on better paper was issued in which the prefatory note states that the price is six shillings.
