[DECLARATION SIGNER]. WILLIAMS, William (1731-1811). Manuscript Document (mainly in an unknown hand, but partially written by Williams) Signed (?Wm. Williams?). Lebanon, CT, 24th March, 1759. Document appears to be a promise to raise and pay soldiers to fight in the French and Indian War. Countersigned by Joshua West, a captain in the local division of the British Army. Oblong 4to (320 x 195 mm). On white paper with 2 small wax seals (document is partially missing ? mainly near the left margin ? and is mounted onto later paper; remaining portion of document is soiled, toned, worn, chipped).
