Swanson. 30 June ca. 1940. 3 pp. on a single bifolium, square 8vo (197 x 184 mm), on personal letterhead. I?VE BEEN DOING THIS DETECTIVE JUNK SO LONG. Woolrich writes to his agent asking for advice on submitting his famous book ?The Bride Wore Black? to be adapted to film. He confides that he has been ?doing this detective junk so long? that he still doesn?t know the best way of submitting material to Hollywood.
