DEVANT, David (David Wighton, 1868 ? 1941). Collection of Five Magic Programs. Circa 1890s ? 1918. Including a program for Devant?s provincial tour from the Egyptian Hall at the Pier Pavilion, Exmouth, including animated photographs on the bill (center fold split at bottom); -- The Hippodrome, Bedminster for Oct. 2, 1912 with a portrait of Devant on the front; -- two for Devant Matinees at the Hippodrome, Sheffield in 1912 and 1914, the latter with a pictorial cover; -- and a program from the Glasgow Empire with Devant topping a seven-act bill in 1918. Four pages each, folded, with age-related wear. A good group.
