[Dillinger Interest] USA Shows 1935 Yearbook Signed by Dillinger?s Father. N.p., (1935). Stiff pictorial wrappers. Illustrated with halftone photos. 8vo. [24]pp. Signed on the inside front cover by managers and performers in the show, among them John W. Dillinger, father of notorious Chicago gangster and bank robber John Dillinger. Dillinger?s father appeared with the show?one year after his son was shot and killed by federal agents?in an exhibit titled ?Crime Does Not Pay,? where mementos from his son?s career were displayed. Dillinger inscribes: ?Best Wishes/Crime does not pay/John W. Dillinger.? It appears that another possible relative, ?Bud? H. Dillinger, also signs on the same page. Very good.
