Double-Sided Pac Man Lightbox Marquee Arcade Sign. 1980s. This double-sided lightbox features Pac-Man as he grabs and devours the bonus points ghosts. Classic yellow background with character outline on plastic. This type of sign was made for a revolving marquee and would sit atop the arcade namesake signage. Without electrical parts included (but can easily be made for a lighting display). No venue defined the 1980s more than the mall arcade. The king of the new arcade era was Pac Man, created by Toru Iwatani in Japan. Pac Man became a phenomenon with a massive line of merchandising and a mind-numbing amount of quarters to pass through its thousands of coin slots. 32 x 22 x 12? . Very good.
