[DOUG HENNING] Doug Henning Metamorphosis Costumes. 1970s. Iconic costume used in Henning's hit Broadway magical musical, comprised of a breakaway jumpsuit of denim pants and blue fabric tunic with red webbing belt, outfitted with long Velcro strips at the rear (running from the neckline to base); together with and a matching set of the garments in two pieces (one pair of pants, one tunic). In Henning's version of the classic Substitution Trunk illusion, his costume changed entirely when the trick was performed, from a blue jean jumpsuit to the white spandex outfit.
