DOYLE, Arthur Conan (1859-1930). Our African Winter. London: John Murray, [1929]. 8vo. Frontispiece. Publisher's gilt-lettered dark blue cloth, covers ruled in blind, in the scarce original unclipped dust jacket. FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE IN THE SCARCE ORIGINAL DUST JACKET (first issue is without white lettering and ruling on covers.) Doyle gives his experiences which he and his family had during an extended tour of Africa while promoting psychic research and exposition. Our African Winter was only published in England as the American market cared little about Doyle's psychic book and even less about the political and economic issues in Africa.

Boards a bit rubbed, gilt a bit toned, lower corners a bit bumped, endleaves a bit toned, edge of text-block a bit soiled; jacket spine a bit toned and lightly edgeworn, some rubbing, light soiling and toning to jacket panels. Still, fine.
