Frontispiece of Queen Victoria, numerous in text illustrations. Original publisher?s light blue pictorial silk over boards stamped in blue and gilt, all edges gilt (extremities sunned, some soiling to covers, light fraying at spine ends, joints starting). ROYAL EDITION, INSCRIBED BY MOULVIE RAFIUDDIN AHMED, who contributed an article ?The Queen?s Hindustani Diary? to this issue. Ahmed was a close friend of Queen Victoria?s Indian Secretary, Abdul Karim. A RARE EDITION, with a scarce inscription by one of its contributors.
