Original publisher's tan cloth lettered in black, spirit photo mounted to upper cover. Plates, including many spirit photos. 8vo. Bright and square with only the faintest bumping to corners and rubbing to cloth; a handsome example, very good to near fine. Includes Doyle's defense of the practice of psychic photography and in particular his response to charges of fraud against William Hope.
