Original printed wrappers, uncut (few tiny stains). Provenance: Vincent Starrett (ownership signature on title-page verso). Starrett was a mystery and supernatural fiction writer for pulp magazines during the 1920s and 1930s. He is best-known for his work ?The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes? published in 1933 which is considered the first book on Sherlock Holmes scholarship and a cornerstone of Sherlockiana. It has also been credited with jumpstarting the creation of Sherlockian Societies.FIRST EDITION, LIMITED ISSUE, one of 200 copies, containing a story by Arthur Conan Doyle?s daughter that was written when she was just 9 years old.
