[172] pp. Publisher's full black cloth, boards ruled in blind, spine ruled and lettered in gilt, publisher's dust jacket (jacket clipped at lower corner of rear flap). FIRST ENGLISH EDITION IN THE SCARCE DUST JACKET, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY DOYLE ON THE TITLE-PAGE: "Yours Affectionately Arthur Conan Doyle". 

The New Revelation was originally published as an article on 4 November 1916 under the title "A New Revelation. Spiritualism and Religion" in Light, Vol. 36, pp. 357-8. In it, the author declared his belief in spiritualism.

Condition

Cloth spine sunned and edgeworn, some rubbing, edgewear to boards, hinges starting, text toned with occasional soiling, a few gutters starting; jacket toned, edgeworn, somewhat soiled, several marginal short tears or chips, joints torn, spine browned. Still, a very good copy.
