DUKENFIELD, William Claude, professionally W. C. Fields (1880 - 1986), and  WUPPERMANN, Francis Phillip, professionally Frank Morgan (1890 - 1949). Candid Photograph with Newly Married Couple, Chester and Lili Morris. Circa 1940s. Original black and white photograph depicting legendary comedians W.C. Fields and Frank Morgan congratulating Lili Morris, wife of actor Chester Morris, by kissing her hand following the couple's marriage in 1940. The couple was married at Frank Morgan's estate.

The pairing of Fields and Morgan is a notable one. For the production of The Wizard of Oz (1939), Fields was considered first for the role of the Wizard before MGM ultimately cast Morgan, after salary disputes.
