INSCRIBED BY DUNN TO HIS FRIEND, JOSEPH DUNNINGER, WITH AN ORIGINAL DRAWING OF DUNNINGER ON THE HALF-TITLE: ?Yes you Jolly Joe-The Greatest Friend I Have Thine ? Bob Dunn?. A good copy with an excellent inscription and association. Robert Dunn (1908-1989) was a cartoonist, magician and gag-writer. He is credited with inventing the modern ?knock-knock? joke in 1936.
