[ETHNOGRAPHIC] Pair of Wooden Figural Sculptures. Ca. 19th century. Carved wood and paint. Including a painted Asian figure with coiffed hair and garland standing on a lotus flower receptacle. This flower has many meanings across cultures and religions, but often symbolizes purity, resilience, rebirth, and spiritual enlightenment. Along with a kneeling, praying monkey figure. Generally wear, paint loss, chips in wood, surface dirt, glue residue on monkey figure, and missing forearms on Asian figure. Overall good condition for age. Larger figure 13 ? x 5 ? x 2 ?".
