FAIRBURN, John. Fairburn?s New London Conjuror. London: Printed and Published by J. Fairburn, [ca. 1815]. Original printed green wrappers (upper just holding), in custom slipcase with marbled boards over gilt-titled roan spine and green fabric folding chemise insert. Vibrant folding colored frontispiece depicts a conjurer stepping from a burning oven, flanked by two scenes from a magic show. [1-3], 4 ? 24. 12mo. Dawes bookplate. Wraps quite chipped but holding, frontis with minor splits at folds, upper wrapper stained, page edges chipped and worn, but very good overall especially considering the ephemeral nature of this scarce title.
