Uniformly bound in contemporary full black morocco over thin boards, boards elaborately ruled and paneled in gilt, spines ruled, tooled, and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, yellow coated endleaves, gilt board edges and turn-ins, all edges gilt, housed in original small leather box with hinged lid. A handsome set of pocket prayer books.
Condition
Some rubbing to bindings, a few gutters overopened, text lightly toned, rubbed, occasionally soiled, a few pages and endleaves chipped, both volumes with ownership signature on ffeps., box worn, scuffed. Very good.
