Signed bookplate lightly creased at top, (most likely done during the mounting process). Fine. LIMITED EDITION REPRINT OF THIS TITLE, #315/1,500 COPIES SIGNED BY 17 FLYING TIGERS ON A LARGE BOOKPLATE MOUNTED ON THE FRONT BLANK. General Chennault was the commanding officer of the "Flying Tigers" air squadron, which consisted of Chinese Nationalist Air Force and American Air Force pilots. The Flying Tigers who signed this bookplate are the surviving American pilots. The "Flying Tigers" were the first pilots to strike back against Japanese military forces after Pearl Harbor, and Chennault was recognized as the first American military commander to do so.
