[FOLK ART]. BENEFIEL, Charles (American, b. 1967). Punk ?Nothing Escapes Nuclear Extinction? Leather Jacket. No tag, ca. 1980s. Hand-painted, studded, genuine leather jacket with red satin lining. Anti-war, anti-fascist, jacket densely studded and illustrated with anarchist text and imagery. With an image of a skeleton and nuclear explosion on the back. Painted and worn by Benefiel in LA/Venice Beach throughout the 80s. Displayed on a mannequin. Size 42. Display 36 x 23 x 13?. Very good.
