Hand colored lithograph based on a drawing by Boilly, bearing a half-figure image of a fortune-teller in an overcoat and top hat, conducting a playing card reading for a young man and woman standing close to him as both listen intently to the cartomancer, the man looking slightly concerned, the woman standing just behind him and smiling, all while a humorous character nearby sticks out his tongue in the direction of the group.
