Detailed and finely executed lithograph bears portraits of the tiny children, ages 10 and 3, surrounded by vignettes of the duo in various scenes and costumes. Signed in the image by the artist, Briggs, and dated 1872. 24 ? 20". Foxed, minor smudges in borders. A. RARE. See?Exemplars, page 114. The upper right vignette pictures the Foster girls with miniature furniture similar to the couch they owned offered as the previous lot.
