French Exhibition of Mechanical Performing Figures / Delusions of Magic. Hull: M.C. Peck, ca. 1845. Letterpress broadside advertising a show of "philosophical recreations" at Hull Mechanics' Institute over three nights, including automata (mechanical figures) "in their various characters and costumes" and a magician, Mr. Shaw, who will "expose the delusions of magic" with the performance of various "deceptions." Date inked upper right.
