FULLER, Larry. Ebon #1 (Trimmed). San Francisco: San Francisco Comic Book Co., 1970. 8vo. 26pp [+4, ads]. Staple-bound wrappers. Not graded.  FIRST EDITION. One of the most coveted and elusive titles in underground comix, widely recognized as the first comic entirely written and illustrated by a Black artist, featuring the first Black superhero to star in his own title. It is estimated only 100 issues were printed in total, distributed in both untrimmed and trimmed formats. Following disappointing sales, Fuller never produced the promised second issue.

Condition

General rubbing and toning. Some discoloration and soiling to wrappers, interior creasing. Edge wear. Minor color loss at back. Slight bumping at upper spine left. Not graded. Very good.
