[FURNITURE DESIGN]. MACQUOID, Percy (1852-1925). A History of English Furniture. [V.p., 1906-1923]. Folios. Illustrated throughout in color and black and white. 3 volumes (out of an eventual 4). Cloth bindings (2 are original, one is later plain cloth binding). MIXED SET. Titles include: The Age of Oak (Caxton Publishing, presumed early reprint), The Age of Mahogany (Lawrence & Bullen, 1906, first edition), The Age of Walnut (The Medici Society and Lawrence & Bullen 1923, later edition). The fourth, volume, The Age of Satinwood, is not present.

Condition

Worn, soiled, scuffed, each with stickers from "Malcom Franklin" antiques on prelims, several ink stamps from various entities, one volume with the bookplate and signature of John Norman Ambler; text generally worn, soiled, creased, with occasional soiling. Fair. Sold as-is, not subject to return.
