Get Off the Earth.?Paris: Marchadier & Co. Early French version of Sam Loyd's famous redistribution puzzle; rotate the globe at the center of the card and the number of Chinese men diminishes by one (from 13 to 12), even though nothing has been removed from the image. Fine lithographed card with riveted center section, with advertising for the famous Parisian department store Au Bon Marche to the verso. 4 5/8 x 4 5/8". Minor rubbing and toning, but generally very good to near fine. Uncommon.
