GRANT, Ulysses S. (1822-1885). Inscribed Index Card. [N.p.], June 13th 1867. Framed under glass with a large steel plate engraving (?Executed Entirely with a Steel Pen by Dwight S. Dow.?). Card is inscribed by Grant: ?Yours Truly, U. S. Grant General, June 13th 1867.? Card approximately 3 x 5?. Ruled index card. ?Yours Truly? a bit smeared, some toning, edgewear to card, lower portion dampstained (not affecting signature, but partially smearing the date). Engraving toned, worn, chipped, soiled, and dampstained. Sight of engraving approximately 25 ? x 19 ??. Framed under glass. Frame approximately 29 ? x 23 ??. Framed with an advertisement card (approximately 2 x 5 ??) for Dow?s ?Commercial Course? (card is chipped). Generally good. Not examined out of frame.
