Provenance: Frank Gruber (his library book label in folding case). GRUBER?S ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT, first published in 1969 by Walter J. Black, this biography is chiefly considered the definitive work on Zane Grey?s life. Gruber was an American writer who is best known for his Western and mystery novels including numerous pulp stories as well as his Hollywood movie and television show scripts.
