This diverse sale - made up of fine, vintage, and vernacular photographs - will focus closely on the snapshot. Once considered mere "fabrics of yesteryear," these fleeting images have been recently reclaimed by the collecting community, and appreciated for their candid, historical, and visual depth. But all genres of photographs will be represented, with featured lots to include space and NASA material, sideshow cabinet cards, fine art photos, and vernacular works of all types.

Group of Eight African American Police Mugshot Photographs. Los Angeles, Tulsa, and Detroit, 1940s–60s. Police mugshot photographs depicting African American men, each shown in standard frontal and profile views. Several examples bear printed placards for the Los Angeles Police Department with booking numbers and dates from the mid-20th century, while others are identified as Tulsa Police and Detroit Police, indicating a geographically diverse grouping. The photographs reflect the standardized format of law enforcement identification imagery, with consistent lighting, neutral backgrounds, and paired portrait formats. Some images include manuscript annotations and case numbers. Sizes vary, the largest measuring approximately 3 1/2 x 5".

Minor wear throughout, including light creasing, surface marks, and handling.
