Group of Four Sample Books. Including one Armco Stainless Steel Alloys sample book. Middleton, OH: The American Rolling Mill Co., ca. 1900s-1910s. Small sample book in folding blue cloth, lettered in silver. With six pockets, each pocket contains a stainless steel sample. Samples 3 ? x 1 ?". Light wear to book. Rare. -- A National Silk Dyeing Company sample book. Paterson, NJ: National Silk Dyeing Company, Spring 1916. Small sample book in folding red cloth lettered in gold. With accordion style pull out of silk samples. -- And two Stayform Corset dealer's manuals. Chicago: The Stayform Company, ca. 1930s-1940s. Two small 4tos in original publisher's bindings of limp leather over card covers. Laminated, illustrated pages. One book contains the sales pitch and instructions, as well as fabric samples. The other book lacks the fabric samples (and is worn and soiled) but has a miniature corset sample as well as an articulated guide to correct posture for women. Some general wear. An excellent group. Very good.
