GRUTER, Jan (1560-1627). Inscriptionum Romanarum Corpus Absolutissimum? [Heidelberg]: Commelinus, 1616. Three parts in one volume, including the first index of notes on Tyronis manuscript, folio. Illustrated with numerous intertextual woodblock diagrams. Contemporary full vellum, spine stamped in gilt (binding worn, soiled, a portion of the front pastedown was neatly removed, title-page torn near inner margin, text toned and occasionally soiled, spine rolled). Provenance: ink-stamp from an institution on front pastedown.
