[HAND-BUILT MACHINE MODEL]. Wooden Model for a Railroad Cattle Car with Adjustable Roof with Hatch. [Ca. 20th century]. One side with sliding double door, ?Western Stock Express", and ?P. R. R." at bottom. The other side lacks its sliding door. On 4 metal axles, each axle with 2 wheels. On top is a pulley system to raise the roof. Wood, metal, and cord. 18 ? x 6 x 9 ?". Roof-raising system works, but sometimes comes up unevenly, some wear, soiling, scuffing. Good.
