Rare hand-colored aquatint, an image of the highly fictionalized story of British sailors rescuing a French maiden (?Jeannette?) from the ocean during the Battle of Trafalgar, after the explosion of the French ship, Achille. Engraved by M. Dubourg (1786-1838). Sight approximately 9 ? x 11 ??. Matted and framed under glass in elaborate gilt wooden frame. Frame size approximately 17 ? x 19 ??. Print lightly toned, minor occasional soiling. Fine. Not examined out of frame.
