As demand for copies of this privately published book grew in the 1970s, Al Mann, likely in collaboration with Craige Snader in Mexico City, reportedly produced an unknown quantity of counterfeit copies such as the example offered here. Several points distinguish the spurious books from the originals, including poorer quality stamping, the absence of pebbling in the cloth, a pasted down correction, and brighter paper. Sold together with three letters from Al Mann to a customer regarding the sale of a Harbin book.
