HARDY, Don Ed (American, b. 1945). Garden. [San Francisco], 1966. Etching proof on paper by master tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy, featuring an outdoor garden scene with inspiration from San Francisco's Russian Hill neighborhood, where Hardy was pursuing a BFA in printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute. He graduated in 1967.

Signed and dated to lower right. Includes a photograph with Hardy holding this original early work and a copy of RE/SEARCH (San Francisco, 2013) with Ed Hardy feature and interview. Frame 11 x 9", plate 7 1/2 x 6". The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF) holds an artist's proof of this print in its collection.

 

Condition

A clean, dark impression; slight waviness to paper.
