Harry S. Truman: Complete copy of the most famous "error" newspaper of all time, the November 3, 1948 edition of the Chicago Daily Tribune. "Dewey Defeats Truman". President Truman must have been saying "How sweet it is!" when he publicly mocked the newspaper's publisher who prematurely printed that he had lost his bid for the Presidency in 1948. Measures 17" x 23 ½”, 24pgs. Considered the greatest 20th century political newspaper.

 

The Chicago Tribune printed more than 10 different editions on election night as the vote totals changed. The Two Star edition had two sections totaling 54 pgs. which is most often encountered by collectors. This complete edition has 24 pgs.
