Condition

Edges of wrappers somewhat worn, sunned, wrapper area at staples torn or are slightly loose. Still, fine. FIRST EDITION OF THE SCARCE SECOND PUBLISHED STORY BY ERNEST HEMINGWAY. This story, about the fixing of a boxing match, appeared in Hemingway's high school newsletter/magazine on pp. 16-17. His first published story, "Judgement of Manitou," appeared in the same magazine two months before this one. Offered with: [SCHLEDEN, Ina Mae and HERZOG, Marion Rawls, editors]. First edition of this brief history of Hemingway's early life and high school career, with information about his association with Tabula. Both items are chemised separately in brown leather-backed slipcase.
