Original blue?lettered tan cloth; original unclipped dust jacket (some light dust soiling along spine panel, few small short closed tears along top edge). Provenance: From the library of bibliophile and long?standing Grolier Club member David Fraser (1911?2003). FIRST EDITION, REVIEW COPY with stiff card laid in. Adapted into two films starring Robert Donat as Mr. Chips in 1939 and a musical in 1969 with Peter O?Toole reprising the role.
