HOFZINSER, Johan Nepomuk (1806 ? 1875). Four Gimmicked Playing Cards. [Vienna, ca. 1850]. Four stencil-colored cards designed by, and created for the use of, famed Viennese magician J. N. Hofzinser, innovator of many now-standard card magic effects. Included are two double-faced cards (KD/8D and QH/AH), one double-ended card (KD/QS), and an Eight of Clubs with matching Tietze-patterned back design. With an index card of Dawes? holographic notes on the items. Scattered tiny spotting, but overall excellent condition.
