HORNE, Lena (1917 - 2010). Archive of photographs, six signed. A binder of approximately 165 photographs of Horne, including six signed (three inscribed; one is a signed portrait removed from a magazine or print publication). 

Career-spanning collection of images includes film and performance stills, press, and publicity photographs, many with stamps, snipe sheets, and wire markings. In addition to many solo images, Horne is also pictured with numerous stars and entertainers including Sammy Davis Jr., Muhammad Ali, Katharine Hepburn, Paul Robeson, Dick Cavett, Tony Bennett, and others, some of these images relating to civil rights, progressive, and charitable causes.

Another two binders include several hundred more images (nearly all reprinted / later copies) and clipped material from magazines.

Collected together in three black binders, size generally 8 x 10" to 5 x 7".
