Written in ink and pencil on one sheet of stiff card (possibly from a file folder from Houdini?s collection), the escape artist writes about Slade, and in reference to him alludes to other well-known magicians, among them [Samri] Baldwin, [Frederick Eugene] Powell (?use Powells letter?), and [John Nevil] MaskelyneHoudini states, in part, ?Re his segment [?] antics - & Baldwin know[s] S was a Hermaphrodite.? And, ?Get all papers together pics & others Maskelyne told me etc.? Possibly used as preparatory notes for his 1922 book A Magician Among the Spirits. Recto only, with chipping, folds, and wear extremities.
