HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 ? 1926). Houdini TLS ?Lettergram? to Richard Van Dien. Dated October 10, 1923, Houdini writes to his fellow magician on his half-sheet printed Lettergram stationery, which states that the missive was ?written in the dressing room.? The letter reads, in full, ?Am publishing Mr. Ernst?s letter wherein he gives $12.00 to the S.A.M. and am adding the names of Hardeen and Houdini so that the other members imitate Ernst?s initiative.
