HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 – 1926). The World Famous Harry Houdini. New York: Empire City Job Print, 1912. Four-page pictorial newsprint flyer advertising Houdini’s appearance at Hammerstein’s Victoria Theatre for the week of January 29, 1912. The upper wrapper bears a bust portrait of Houdini, and a montage of images including one of Houdini in his bi-plane appear inside. Small folio. Separation along horizontal folds repaired with Japanese tissue, edges chipped. The first example we have seen with this image and content.
