Bound in modern half brown pigskin over brown cloth boards, red gilt morocco lettering labels on front board and spine. Two typewritten slips inserted, bound without original wrappers. Ffep. re-attached, text lightly creased throughout, some occasional minor thumbsoiling. Fine. Howard established his magic school in London in 1928. He performed under various names, including “Merlin,” “Paul Rupert,” and “Danton” (he had been chosen by Dante to carry on his act as “Danton” in 1939, but it fell through).
