Lot containing original 35mm negatives, period contact sheet featuring the Hell's Angels, and a framed silver gelatin panorama photograph documenting the historic Human Be-In event at Golden Gate Park.

Panorama image 8 ½ x 24"; frame (glass) 12 x 28". Seam visible in panorama where frames were spliced together, else very good. One-of-a-kind.

The Human Be-In was held on January 14th, 1967, and is widely considered the start of the American Counterculture and Hippy movement. It preluded the “Summer of Love” and made Haight-Ashbury (down the road) an epicenter. During the event Timothy Leary famously said “Turn on, Tune In, Drop Out” forever changing America's youth and counterculture. Organizers of the event lied to the city to obtain a permit; without a police presence, the Hell's Angels provided security for the event and guarded the stage's generator cables.
