The author is British-Irish journalist W. H. Russell, who reported for The Times and is considered to have been one of the first modern war correspondents. Here, he describes Alexandra's upbringing, education, interests and trousseau. Robert Dudley illustrates the proceedings of the wedding, including the arrival of the Princess at Gravesend and the fabulous wedding gifts. This is quite a scarce book. OCLC records only three copies in North America - at the Huntington Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Defense University Library. King, Victorian Decorated Trade Bindings, 40.
