Goodrich wrote articles and books for children under the pseudonym, Peter Parley. This massive work has early illustrations of dinosaurs (pp. 382-385) - Goodrich/Parley was the first to illustrate dinosaurs for American children, beginning in 1840.
Condition
Spines sunned and worn, joints cracking, boards edgeworn, soiled, hinges starting, text and endleaves toned with occasional foxing, thumbsoiling, bookplates of the Shamokin Lyceum, and later pencil notes on both fps. Very good.
