J. A. Folger & Co. Tin Lithographed Store Tea Bin. [San Francisco, CA: J. A. Folger & Co., ca. 1860s-1890s]. Tin lithographed countertop bin with hinged front door with white porcelain knob, and lift off lid on top. Front of bin has a handsome litho of a steam liner and sail boats (ship is presumably bringing Folger?s tea to America). 16 x 20 x 20?. Some wear, soiling, oxidation. Still, a very good example of this rare tea bin. A rare artifact of when Folger & Co. dealt in tea before becoming one of the largest coffee manufacturers in the United States.
