His extensive body of work includes countless pieces for Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. On Sunday May 23, 2021, the original painting for?Drizzt Do'Urden?by Tyler Jacobson?from Magic: the Gathering sold for a record breaking $155,000.00?via auction on the MTG Art Market. This painting up for auction was painted while in Jacobson was in art school 2009. Over the years, Jacobson's illustrations have appeared in multiple books and magazines with Simon & Schuster, TOR, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Men's Journal, Runner's World, Texas Monthly, The Weekly Standard, and Scientific American, among others. He's been the recipient of both the Jack Gaughan award (2010) and the Spectrum Gold award (2012). He graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2009 with an MFA in illustration.
