JACOBSEN, Zani (American, 1928-1993) Chicago Theater. Circa 1980?s. Plaster relief and acrylic paint. Signed left side. 24 h x 13 w x 6 ?d. Alice ?Zani?Jacobsen was well-known for her sculptural reliefs of historic Chicago buildings and residential structures. Jacobsen was a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago and taught design there early in her career. She was a member of the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois and the Theater Historical Society. Her medium was a wax-based clay. She then carved an original, created a mold and next cast a limited number of copies in plaster with hand painting. Overall good condition. Third party shipping required.
