James A. Garfield et al: Group of Four Inaugural Dance Card Programs, and More. Wonderful collection of four dance card programs measuring 3" x 4 3/4" up to 4 1/2" x 6". The programs allowed attendees to list who they danced with, types of songs played, who were the committee members, etc. Included is a program for Garfield and Arthur in 1881, Cleveland and Hendricks in 1885, McKinley and Hobart in 1897, and Roosevelt and Fairbanks in 1905. The 1885 and 1897 still retain the pencils. As a bonus, a graphic 5" x 10" 1901 Inaugural ticket is included, having jugate images of McKinley and Roosevelt. This pass, with the original stub still attached, allowed the bearer to be admitted to the platform on the Senate side of the Capitol Building. A fantastic group.

The large inaugural ticket has old tape remnants on the verso. The front of the ticket is virtually perfect. The dance programs have a hint of toning, else all in excellent condition.
